The Parishes of Repton, Newton Solney and Foremark
The vicar of Repton is also vicar of Newton Solney and Foremark. Although they make up a single benefice, the parishes are formally independent of each other; each has its own parochial church council and is responsible for its own finances. The three parishes do however work together on joint activities including occasional services, the Parish Magazine, special events for children, and social activities.
Repton Mission and Ministry Ecumenical Area
Since 2006, 20 of the 21 parishes in the Repton Deanery have come together to form a single MMA, which will eventually have 8 stipendiary clergy (as opposed to 11 at inception). It stretches from Findern in the north-east to Croxall in the south-west, and includes both rural and urban, wealthier and deprived parishes. It is described as ecumenical because it includes two benefices where Anglican parishes worship and work together with Methodists. So far there has been no noticeable impact on the life of parishes in our benefice.
