Individual Visits
Throughout the year St Wystan's Church is open for visiting during daylight hours, except at
services and some special events. The crypt is open when the church is open. Except during special events such as festivals and concerts, there is no entry charge.
The church is unlocked for morning prayer or communion at 8 am (sometimes a little later on Saturdays), and remains open until evening. Lock-up is usually about dusk, but the time is not fixed, so you are better to visit earlier rather than later.
There is always the chance of a wedding; funerals - mostly in the morning - are unpredictable.
If you use a wheelchair, access to the nave is straightforward, but you will need help to reach the chancel, and the crypt is not accessible.

Maps of Repton
If you use the map below, the marker is roughly in the right place.
Note that Repton Parish Church has a tall spire, in contrast to Repton School Chapel, which is situated almost opposite.
Facilities in Repton
The toilets in church have disabled facilities and are open at events, services, and other occasions when people are expected. If they are locked, the Bulls Head, towards the far end of the High Street, has toilets for public use. In addition, there are tea rooms at the bottom of
Brook End, three other pubs, a fish shop, two takeaways and a restaurant. Opening times vary.
How to find Repton
Repton is situated close to the junction of the A50 and the A38; on the A50 it is junction 4.
From the south there are various routes. The first is all motorway or dual carriageway. It is further but quick. Turn off the M1 at junction 23A following the signs to the A50 to Derby and Stoke. At junction 4 (the junction for the A38 and Toyota) take the B5008 via Willington to Repton.
Again from the M1 or south east, a shorter but slower route: Aim eventually for the A511 to Ashby. On the A511, bypass Ashby, passing east and north of the town. At a roundabout, take the B5006 to Ticknall. There you come to a T junction with the A514. Turn left, but almost immediately, on a sharp left-hand bend, turn right to Milton and follow the road through to Repton.
From the M42, take the first exit to Ashby. In the centre of Ashby, you come to a pair of mini roundabouts. Turn right and immediately left towards Burton. Almost immediately, at the second of a further pair of mini-roundabouts, take the B5006 to Ticknall. There you come to a T junction with the A514. Turn left, but almost immediately, on a sharp left-hand bend, turn right to Milton and follow the road through to Repton.
From the south-west, on the A38, turn off via Willington to Repton.
From the west, take the A50 towards Nottingham. At junction 4 (the junction for the A38 and Toyota) take the B5008 via Willington to Repton.
From north Nottingham, take the A52 to Derby. Near Derby you come to a roundabout with traffic lights - the first roundabout after the M1. Turn north towards Ripley, Chesterfield, the A38 and the M1 north. Go over several roundabouts until at a large roundabout you come to the A38. Turn left to take the A38 past Derby towards Burton and Birmingham. At the junction with the A50 (the turn-off to Toyota) take the B5008 via Willington to Repton. (This is not the shortest way, but the alternatives are indescribable - often in both senses.)
From the north, take the A38 past Derby towards Burton and Birmingham. At the junction with the A50 (the turn-off to Toyota) take the B5008 via Willington to Repton.
Have a safe journey!
